Tuk Cho Website
Brief
Mitchells & Butlers emerging concept division commissioned They.Create to design and develop all online creative for its new Asian street food market concept - TUK CHỢ.
TUK CHỢ required a microsite / PR Portal to facilitate all press and PR around the launch of its first pilot location in Ealing.
Outcome
Following the successful design of the identity, we considered how the brand would transcend to appeal to its online audiences. Our designs for the external signage and Ợ pictorial already singled out a potential brand signifier that would allow us to become more playful with the graphic design, whilst the illustration style of Sarah King begins to define a house style.
The PR Portal uses a horizontal dynamic scroll to define the sites key sections and incorporates social network API's in the form of Facebook Newsfeeds and Twitter feeds as well as Likes and table booking functionality for the discovery days launch.
The graphic design has a sense of fun, discovery and playfulness. It utilises both the Ợ mark from the pictorial through the use of colour, supporting illustration and reportage photography shot by M&B staff whilst on a research mission to create the restaurants menu.
